The population of the Republic of Zimbabwe is about 12,7million and the country is situated in Southern Africa bordering Botswana, Mozambique, Malawi and South Africa. The country covers 391090 square kilometres (150961 square miles), capital city is Harare and has no coasts. The other major towns are Bulawayo, Gweru and Mutare. The three major tribes are, Shona approximately 75% and Ndebele approximately 18%. Europeans approximately 2%.

The major sectors in Zimbabwe are Agriculture, Mining, Manufacturing and Tourism. Zimbabwe also has one of the seven wonders of the world, The Victoria Falls. Huge deposits of uranium have been recently discovered in Zimbabwe.

Platinum Resources

Zimbabwe's Great Dyke contains the second largest platinum resources in the world behind South Africa's Bushveld Complex, estimated at over 3.05 billion tonnes. Both regions account for 97.5% of the world's known platinum resources.
